Let’s talk stats for a few.
Globally, we don’t tax Viagra, razors, Rogaine, or even potato chips. Yet, because tampons and pads are considered a “luxury item," they receive a 5–20% tax, making them largely unaffordable for women in developing countries. In those same countries, 57% of girls don’t attend secondary school, mostly because they lack access to menstrual health products—and those that do attend will often drop out for the same reason.
