Seven Game-Changing Eco-Friendly Products That Will Enhance Your Life

    Eco-friendly products for Zero-waste Lifestyle

One of our core missions here at VOXAPOD is to address serious environmental issues. We use responsible design to create products that are eco-friendly. Our uniquely innovative menstrual cup is reusable eliminating trillions of disposable waste that would otherwise be generated by tampons and pads.

As a benefit corporation, we are constantly implementing ways to be more sustainable in our everyday life. If you’re anything like us, you’ll probably enjoy these simple yet powerful products to help Mother Nature and ourselves in the process.

Here are some innovative and exciting products to make your planet-saving mission easier.

    1. Who Gives A Crap?! Toilet Paper

There are many environmentally damaging products we can do without. Toilet paper? We’re still not sure if that’s one of them. With Who Gives a Crap, “tree-free” toilet paper, it doesn’t have to be. This toilet paper is made from 100% recycled bamboo, sugarcane and paper fibers. When paper products are recycled, they cut carbon emissions, not trees. Other than being on an eco-mission, we have another thing in common with this company: both of our products are made without any inks, dyes or fragrances. Better for the planet. Better for you.

    2. OAT Shoes

Shoes have become a necessity and yet it is still unclear how to treat these products once they’ve reached the end of their lifetime. OAT shoes solves this problem by being the world’s first biodegradable sneaker. Not only is this a smart solution to a long-held problem, but we can grow plants out of our shoes now, ladies. The tongue of each sneaker holds seed-sheets of flowers such as Spurred Snapdragon, English Daisy and Corn Poppy. OAT shoes have a “city vibe” style, meaning you don’t have to forsake your personal style for your personal planet-saving mission.

    3. Suga Recycled Yoga Mats

We’ve talked about the importance of exercising during our period. While we’re taking care of our bodies, let’s kill two birds with one stone and take care of the earth as well. Suga, a company based in California, manufactures yoga mats made from recycled wetsuits. The company was born from the struggle surfers face by enjoying the natural environment, yet creating waste through their products. The company turns “petrochemical based landfill clogging neoprene monsters into highly functional instruments of yogic bliss.”

    4. Iameco Ecological High Performance Computers

If you’re reading this, we’re assuming you must be on your computer, phone, or tablet. While these products have added great value to our lives, they also have a devastating impact on the environment. E-waste is one of the most serious environmental issues to date. With iameco (pronounced i-am-eco), you can rest easy knowing your product was made with 70% less impact than regular computers. They are made without the typical harmful materials present in computers today, such as mercury, cadmium or lead. They are designed to last up to three times longer than the average computer, taking it to another level of sustainability. They are made with natural woods such as maple, beech and ash. As the company says, their products get “better with age,” ...just like us.

    5. DO AMORE Conflict-Free Rings

Does beauty come with an environmental price? It doesn’t have to with DO AMORE, which produces ethically sourced rings. DO AMORE has three ways of delivering sustainable rings: ethical mining, recycled jewelry and lab created diamonds, sapphires and moissanites. These gemstones meet strict mining standards or are lab-made, which generates very small carbon footprints. Like VOXAPOD, they are also a benefit corporation. Each ring purchased helps build a water project for one of their partnering communities in a developing country. At least one person will receive access to clean water directly from DO AMORE for every ring purchased.

    6. Fluidity Dish Drying Rack

We are obsessed with this one. Fluidity Dish Drying Rack can help you fight through fatigue on your heavy flow days to get up and do the dishes. Growing fresh herbs and beautifying your home while on your period? That’s a much funner incentive. Its double function design dries dishes while irrigating the plants from the trickling water. The plants are contained in clay pellets and coconut fiber. This product is perfect for saving space, growing herbs, drying dishes, enhancing your kitchen and elevating your mood. That is especially appreciated when Aunt Flow makes her visit.

    7. VOXAPOD Menstrual Cup

Reusable Silicone Menstrual Cup Sustainable Period Care VOXAPOD

Did you know that, in the US alone, over 20 billion pads and tampons are discarded into our landfills and waterways every year, and the plastics in them can take hundreds of years to biodegrade. Plus, many name brand period products are still full of bleach and toxins that cause irritation and discomfort, not to mention potential long-term health impacts when used on the monthly. Switching to a reusable silicone menstrual cup, like VOXAPOD, not only reduces waste, but is healthier for your body too! It's made with medical-grade silicone so there are no nasty toxins, plastic, BPA, or latex. It can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time (finally sleep through the night!), is washable and reusable, and lasts for years––saving you money every month. Plus, no more emergency trips to the store when your tampon supply run low.
